Consciously Healthy Living
And I’m back! We had an amazing week this past week as my family was in town. Both Steve & I were off work and we dubbed this our Adventure Staycation 2014. Everything this week was the best so I’ll recap it day by day.
Monday – we hiked the Mountain Crest Trail on Missionary Ridge to Overlook Point. 9 miles roundtrip. Miss Hula Hoop isn’t ready for hiking yet, but I hope she’ll be able to one day!
Tuesday – we went four wheeling up near Silverton on the Alpine Loop area. And had a snowball fight in July :)
Wednesday – we finally rode the train! Steve has ben on it before but it was my first time up and it was beautiful. We took it one way and due to some issues with the train in front of us the normally 3.5 hour ride ended up being 5.5 hours. Still, not a bad place to be stuck!
Thursday to Friday – Steve & I took my brother Greg and step-brother Joe on their very first backpacking trip! It ended up being a lot more than we had anticipated but that’s the fun of backpacking, right? Middle Mountain to Dollar Lake. 12 miles total.
Saturday – absolutely nothing :) The gang left and Steve and I relaxed hardcore. My heels got pretty tore up on the trip (hello, I need new boots!) so I let them rest.
Going back to work tomorrow is going to be rough. Today I’m just doing stuff around the house plus some homework – my online class only has 3 weeks left how did that happen!!
***Question – As I try to figure out what I want to do in this new space I want to hear from you! Are weekly workout recaps something you’d like to see over here? I know a lot of you like them on MHH and I wasn’t sure if it was worth it to continue those here as well. Thanks!***
