All the time I have spent changing my habits to listen to audio books, self help books and positive music has been incredible. People encourage you not to watch the news, listen to rap music, and not to read the newspaper because you will get caught up in it. A lot of this is true. Anything that is constantly pounded in your head will stick, so WHY pick crap to listen to?
It is about finding the people that you want to emulate, the people who have a message..and the people who have a BEAT baby! That is what Im talking about!! Forget the news, forget the rap that has no positive connotations, forget the daily miserable news. Find something to listen to that makes you think!
When Im jammin Michael Franti and I jump out of my car to meet clients, friends and potential business partners, the energy and message of life, love and peace reflects right off of me! Who the hell wants to talk about all the bad shit that is going on? I dont! I dont want to hear about something that could have been prevented if more of a positive attitude had been spread on people! So, forget the miserable news and project an image of solution!
Solistening to music is healthy! So is singing music.roll those windows down or up..loland sing it out! Sing your heart out, it will make you feel better! What song makes you feel better? What songs do you listen to in different moods?
When you are getting a great massage from Kevin Gleave at Folsom Massage what do you hear in the background? Music? Yeah baby! Calming yet refreshing, and the overall experience will always be amazing! Thats because Kevins got it figured out! Music = Health!
So get out there and Jam on some positive tunes and see how your life will change!
